The firm transport is for use in a cine projector having a toothed drum for film transport, this being mounted between a lockable film guide channel, and having a cover which closes off the first film guide channel with a pressure plate device to close off the second film guide channel through which the film is fed to the toothed transport drum. It is constructed such that the pressure plate (8) and the cover (12) are held together in a common open setting. The cover (12) has a closure spring (14) which is bent about the pivot point of the cover (12) when the cover is in its open position.
