<p>Part of the fluid flowis branched off (15) on the high-pressure side of the machine, to pass through the test equipment (in 14) and return to the low-pressure side (16). A thermometer (6) is also connected on the low-pressure side. The test gear consists of a throttle (3), a vessel (4) in which pressure builds up, a stop valve (5) and two internal thermometers (7, 8), as well as an electronic calculator (9). When, valve (5) being open, the machine (4) acts as a pump, the test gear is in series with it, and the difference between the temps. (at 6 and 8) is the temp. change across the pump plus that across the throttle. When the machine acts as a motor, there is a parallel circuit.</p> |
