Shot gun cartridge with sealed cardboard case - is sealed against moisture by plastics film shrunk over case

The shotgun cartridge has a case made from cardboard or paper. This cartridge is sealed against water and air moisture. The front end (2) of the cartridge case (1) is closed by a shrunk film tube (3) closed at least at one end. This film tube covers fully the outside surface (4) of the case made from cardboard or paper. The film tube may be shrunk to seal the whole cartridge and the film is very thin in the region of the percussion cap. On the film tube can be printed identification information of the cartridge. The film is made from halogen free plastics such as polyethylene and biaxially stretched. The sealed cartridge can be fired and loaded directly.
