<p>1469233 Vehicle doors MERSEYSIDE PASSENGER TRANSPORT EXECUTIVE and E HAUGHTON 21 March 1974 [22 March 1973] 13759/73 Heading B7J In a door assembly for a public transport vehicle having a door 12 which is mechanically drivable by means 15 towards and away from a co-operating closure member to the rear thereof such as a second door 13 or a door jamb, the door 12 and closure member have respective parallel closing edges 21 and 19 which when the door is closed as shown are spaced apart by a distance B which is bridged by resilient sealing members 34 and 32 carried by one or both of the door 12 and closure member, a plane through the two closing edges 21, 19, being inclined rearwardly and inwardly from the door 12. As shown, the doors 12 and 13 pivot about rods 14 on arms 16 and 18 while sliding along guides 24 to reach the open positions shown dotted on Fig. 2. The sealing members 32 and 34 are hollow rubber strips secured to the edges 19 and 21 by brackets 36 and 38 and extending in the aforesaid plane through the edges 32 and 34.
