1469697 Liquid detergent compositions COLGATE PALMOLIVE CO 20 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 22393/74 Heading C5D A liquid detergent composition, suitable for dish washing by hand and providing a medium or medium-low foam volume that is stable in the presence of greasy soil, comprises (a) an anionic detergent selected from 25 to 40% by weight of water-soluble C 10 -C 20 paraffin sulphonate, 15 to 30% by weight of a water-soluble linear C 8 - C 15 alkyl benzene sulphonate, and 20 to 40% by weight of a mixture thereof; (b) 5 to 30% by weight of a non-ionic detergent selected from a condensate of C 10 -C 16 alkanol with a heteric mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in a weight ratio from 2À5 : 1 to 4 : 1 respectively, the condensate having a 60 to 85% content of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, a C 2 -C 6 alkyl ether of an ethoxylated C 6 -C 10 alkyl phenol having 9 to 14 ethanoxy groups, and mixtures thereof; (c) 1 to 8% by weight of a C 1 -C 3 alkanolamide of a C 10 -C 16 alkanoic acid; and (d) an aqueous medium; the total content of (a), (b) and (c) being at least 35% by weight of the composition. |
