<p>The car seat is mounted on interlocking rails for longitudinal adjustment, and with the rails secured by an adjustment lock (27, 33) operated by a control lever (26) under the front of the seat. When the seat back (21) is tipped forwards a release cam (24) releases a second lock (15) to allow the seat to slide forwards over the rails, and allow improved access to the rear seats. The second lock is reset when the seat back is raised, and the seat mounting clips back into its original setting, under spring pressure. The relative settings of the two guide rails remains the same throughout. The whole operation is automatic, without any adjustment required by the operator.</p> |
