Colour TV receiver with selective bandpass filter - feeds signal to resistance, inductance, capacitance network extending passband temporarily

Colour television receiver with a selective band-pass filter which forms the colour signals and separates them from the luminance signals. The time for generating the auxiliary colour carrier wave signal is reduced. The signals received are in compliance with the SEC AM standard. The composite image signal (Vc) is fed to a terminal of the resistance (R1) whose other end is connected to a self inductance (L1). The other end of the inductance is earthed. The non-earthed side of the inductance is also connected to a capacitor (C1) which is earthed via another capacitor (C2) in series with a diode (D1). The synchronisation pulse (Sy) is fed through a resistance (R2) which is connected to the junction of the second capacitor and the diode. The original passband is temporarily extended in order to form the colour signal during the blanking period to reduce the time for generating the colour auxiliary carrier.
