PURPOSE:A process for preparing a solution of a urethane resin with a softening point of 50-150 deg.C, a nitrogen content of 1.5-895pi, and stress at 100pi, elongation in a film form of 15-100kg/cm<2>, especially useful as a binder of printing inks, from polyetherdiol, diisocyanate and a solvent other than amides or sulfoxides.
