PURPOSE:To increase a force for attracting to a rotary drum, facilitate releasing the drum and prevent a recording material from being unintentionally moved, by providing a conductive rotary feeder, current-supplying brushes which are grounded, a separator for separating and releasing a recording material, and a high-voltage power source. CONSTITUTION:A conductive drum form rotary 1 provided with a dielectric layer 3 at the surface thereof. the current-supplying brushes 4, 4' opposed to the feeder 1 and grounded, destaticizing brushes 8, 8' for destaticizing a sheet form recording material 6, the separator for separating and releasing the recording material 6, and the high-voltage power source are provided. As a result, the time constant in generating an attracting force can be shortened as compared with that in a conventional electrostatic attracting mechanism, and unintentional movement of a paper or the like hardly occurs. With the dielectric layer provided, charging quantity can be increased, so that a sufficiently large attracting force can be obtained. Further, the dielectric layer functions also as an insulator for the surface of the feeder, so that the danger of being struck by an electric shock is eliminated, even when the operator touches the feeder or the current-supplying brush in supplying a paper or in other situation. |
