PURPOSE:To form an improved coating film by preventing a dried film or dust from mixing in a coating solution, in performing coating by filling a coating tank with a predetermined amount of the coating solution before drawing out the same from the bottom part of said tank, by filtering the coating solution on the way of supply by a filter. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution 9 is received in a cylindrical coating tank 1 and a support 8 as a material to be coated is preliminarily put in said tank 1 in a state held by a holder 10. The coating solution 9 passed through a filter 5 from the bottom part of the coating tank 1 and supplied to a coating solution supply vessel 2 by a pump P2. The coating solution 9 in the coating tank 1 is returned to the coating solution supply vessel 2 from the bottom part of the tank 1 through a pipe 4 by a quantitative pump P1. Therefore, the coating of the surface of the cylindrical matter with the coating solution is performee efficiently, homogenously and stably without mixing-in of foreign matter or dust.
