<p>The composite door or window frame is built up of profiled sections and corner connectors, the sections being U-shaped with the base forming the exposed surface, while the edges are bent over in two places. The exposed surface (1) has formed on its rear side two free-standing angle-section ribs (9, 10), whose flanges (13, 15) parallel to the exposed surface extend towards the sides (2, 3) of the U-section. For each corner two connectors are provided, each of L-section, fitting behind the sides of the U-section between their bent-over edges (5-8) and the ribs. The portions of the connectors fitting behind the exposed surface hav spring lugs, engaging in recesses (36, 38-40) formed in the ribs.</p> |
