The electrically operated chopping mill is partic. for grain or fruit, with a housing which can be mounted on top of a container for chopped material. A sieve is across the bottom of the chopping device with a closed chopping chamber and feed metering system. The communition device (9) is in the form of at least two bladed knives (9) with are pivoted to a drive shaft. The knives (9) are pivot mounted to a rotor head (7) which is itself attached to the power drive shaft (6).
