The coupling comprises an inner ring holding one end of the coupling element and an outer ring holding the other end, with a clamping ring on this outer ring. Drive is transmitted by the elements which are fixed by studs. Each element is moulded from a rubberised compound with a woven textile reinforcement. Holes are formed for the fixing studs, the ends of the reinforcement being woven in layers to form a sleeve. An oblong hole is in the centre of the element is thicker than the depth of its recess and is compressed and prestressed when fitted. |
