<p>1468476 Moulding glass D SWAROVSKI & CO 13 Aug 1975 [13 Aug 1974] 33674/75 Heading C1M Moulded glass bodies having an accurately shaped portion are produced by placing a heated glass blank in a mould cavity, at least one press tool is brought to a predetermined position within the mould, and the size of the mould cavity reduced by deformation of the surfaces of the less accurate portions. As shown, Fig. 3, two press tools 8 are moved into the mould after which a sleeve 9 surrounding one press tool is moved into the cavity thereby urging the blank 11 against the surfaces of the press tool. In a second embodiment (Fig. 5) the mould 7 has a stepped portion so that movement of the mould in the direction C causes reduction in the mould cavity size.</p> |
