<p>PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a computer network system by detecting the line connecting state of a slave network at the time of turning on a power supply, adding the connecting state to a power ON completion signal and transmitting the added signal to a host computer. CONSTITUTION:A distributed processing part 3 starts power ON operation at the time of receiving a power ON instructing signal from a CPU 1, and at the time of completing the ON of a main power supply 17, transmits a token ring(LAN) initializing processing signal to a LAN 4 and starts timer monitoring. When the response of a normal end signal is not received from the LAN 4 within a previously set time, abnormality in the connecting state of the LAN 4 is detected. Then the processing part 3 adds the LAN connection abnormal state to the power ON completion signal and transmits the added signal to the CPU 1 to inform the LAN connection abnormal state to the CPU 1. Thereby, the CPU 1 can detect the ring connection abnormality of the slave LAN 4 in addition to the detection of abnormality in the power supply ON of the distributed processor 3 by the remote control of power ON and execute rapid maintenance work.</p> |
