1409856 Preservation of bone-narrow Y M F SOURON 2 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972 14 Aug 1973] 46015/73 Heading A2D The preservation of bone-marrow comprises heating said marrow to a temperature which is less than 100‹C. Preferably marrow bones are heated in a liquid between 35‹C and up to but less than 100‹C, before extracting the marrow, which is put into containers, which are then frozen. Alternatively, after filling marrow into containers, they may be submitted to several heating/cooling cycles prior to freezing or storing at ambient temperature. Prior to 'heating, the marrow bones may be subjected to a pickling brine. Ingredients such as vegetables, salt or spices may be added to the liquid that is to be used to heat the marrow bones. Products such as anti oxidants, vitamin E, antibiotics, fungicides, homeopathic, preparations or salt may be added to the marrow in the containers. |
