Electron microscope screen clamp - may be positioned in beam by folding bellows and stops

The moving part of the clamp is held by a holder joined by a spring to a fixed part of the microscope. The spring is a folding bellow (8) connected by one end with the holder (4), and by the other (9) directly to the edge of an opening (12) in the housing (5). It closes this opening vacuum tight, and the holder passes through the device wall at the centre (18) of the folding bellows, and presses on a stop on the housing wall. Further stops limit sideways movement of the clamp. The holder may be fitted with a casing (7) attached to the folding belows.
