<p>Between the main storage tank for H2O2 and the catalytic decomposer tank is a buffer tank sub-divided into two compartments; the first is fed via stop valve and non return valve from the reservoir and connected via upper NRV (gas) and lower NRV (liq) in the party wall to the second compartment which feeds the decomposer via gas-press. operated regulator valve and NRV. The gas press. is derived from a feed-back line from the outlet side of the decomposer and this press. is also applied to one port of a three-way cock fitted in the roof of the first compartment of the buffer, the alternative inlet port of which is vented to atmos. The system, once started, operates cyclically for topping up the two buffer compartments and the decomposer from the main storage reservoir due to operation of the automatic, press. controlled valves. A wide range of refinements to the basic system may be added. the three way cock is controlled by a float in the first buffer. PTFE membranes are used in the main regulator valve and ceramic bead spacers in the decomposer.</p> |
