<p>A flat metal rail (1) is screwed to the inside walls of the lorry at different heights. An array of regularly spaced vertical slots (3) in the rail is used to thread a securing belt (4) to form a set of regularly spaced loops (5). These serve as loops for securing ropes, etc., with which the loads are tied to the sides of the lorry. The rail does not encroach on the loading space and has no weakening shapes. Sets of holes (6) above and below the screw holes locate ratchet pegs of transverse bars which can be clipped across the inside of the lorry to divide up the space.</p> |
