PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity, small in residual potential and change of characteristics, and superior in durability by incorporating a combination of a carrier generating material of a specified bisazo compound and that of a specified stilbene compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains as the carrier generating material at least one of bisazo compounds represented by formula I and at least one of the stilbene compounds represented by formula II, and in formulae I and II each of X1 and X2 is halogen or alkyl, and one of them is halogen; each of p and q is an integer of 0, 1, or 2, and each is not 0 at the same time; each of Ar1 and Ar2 is aryl or the like; Ar3 is arylene; R1 is H or phenyl; and Ar4 is aryl, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be extremely high in sensitivity and high in potential stability and extremely low in residual potential, and consequently, to exhibit stable performance even at the time of repeated uses. |
