PURPOSE:To lessen the warpage of a disk substrate and to provide the higher quality, higher reliability and lower cost by forming a moistureproof body having the moisture permeability lower than the moisture permeability of a substrate to the rear surface of the non-recording region of the surface on which a recording layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 2 is formed on the substrate 1 and the surface of the layer 2 is coated with a UV curing resin layer 3. The moistureproof film 4 having the outside diameter below the inside diameter of the layer 2 is formed on the other surface of the substrate 1. The warpage of the substrate 1 is sufficiently lessened even if the film 4 is formed by limiting the formation thereof to the region excluding the recording region. The transmission of laser light through the film 4 is thereby prevented even if the laser light is projected from the substrate 1 side to the layer 2. The need for taking the optical constant, thickness, surface roughness, etc., of the film 4 into consideration is thus eliminated. The production control is, therefore, easy and the higher quality, higher reliability and lower cost are obtd. |
