The coupling is particularly suitable for HV isolators or earthing switches and has a connecting tube (4) with at its ends two axial elongated slots (5) in which a polygonal mating part (7) is inserted. It has an eccentric slanting hole (6), and the two parts are joined together by a bolt passing through the switch shaft (9) and cottered at both ends. The bolt axis forms an angle with the mating part sides, so that when the matching part (7) is rotated, angular position of both shafts can be adjusted in accordance with the number of its sides. It also permits automatic adjustment of the shafts in axial direction.
