The drills are driven from the vehicles hydraulic system, and to equalise the speeds in case the drills encounter different ground resistance the outer ones are chain driven (16), from the rotor (18) that drives the middle one directly. The free lengths of the chains are held straight by small supporting wheels (19). The beam can be put in any required horizontal direction. It is held in the position selected, by a peg (25) which passes through a fixed plate (23) mounted on the hydraulic motor. The beam has a hollow box construction and is made out of light metal profiles.
