Pump comprises a housing (1) with eccentric impeller (6) consisting of blades (11) between a flat disc (9) and a conically dished disc (10), and non-return outlet valves (19) in the flat disc, the conical disc being so dimensioned so that, over part of its circumference, it is not in contact with the water ring. - The blades extend to near the housing bottom (4) on the suction side, and means are provided to produce a radially inward water swell, as in 1911544. The swell producing means in the pressure area are replaced by a ledge (22) concentric relative to the axis of rotation (27) and extending axially from the bottom (4), such that its rim (29) is in close proximity to the annular rim (24) at the wide end of the conical disc.
