1466977 Lamps; systems of lighting J B AIZENBERG G B BUKHMAN and V I ANDREENKO 14 May 1974 21302/74 Heading F4R [Also in Division G2] A lighting fixture 1 for installation in a building A, B, comprises a hollow, flexible, transparent light guide tube 2 (see Division G2) bearing a reflective layer (3) which defines a slit 6 for transmitting light, and optical elements 5 for admitting light, e.g. from sources 4, into one end at least of the tube 2. The elements 5 may be reflectors and/or refractors, and the tube 2 may be inflatable through air inlets 8 in shaping rings 9, the tube being sealed at each end by transparent elements 10. The rings 9 may have hot air outlets (11), Fig. 13 (not shown). A plurality of tubes 2 may be employed, and in a modification, Figs. 14 to 17 (not shown), both artificial and solar light is directed into a pair of aligned tubes at a location near the adjacent tube ends, the solar radiation being collected at (21) and directed down a vertical tube (24) through a chamber (22) containing the artificial light sources, reflectors (26) directing the light into each tube 2. |
