<p>1467524 Tube mills, grinding cement H JAGER 23 Dec 1974 [22 Dec 1973] 55474/74 Heading B2A A tube mill system employs a multi-chamber tube mill 17 Fig. 3 with two or more chambers 18....20. Output from the chamber 18 is fed by a bucket elevator to a course sifter 22, and the fines are transferred via an elevator 23 to a following coarse sifter and so on progressively, the fine output of a final coarse sifter being fed to a fine sifter 27 whose fine output is the product. Coarse grits from sifter 22 are returned to the first chamber 18 and so on in sequence. The coarse output of the fine sifter 27 is fed either to the coarse sifter 26 or via a flap valve 28 to the last chamber 20 of the mill. Alternatively it may -be fed to a further fine mill 31 with the coarse output of a coarse sifter 5, Fig. 4. The sifters are set to reject progressively smaller grain sizes.</p> |
