The present invention relates to a block (1) for assembling a section (2) to a wooden surface (B), of the type comprising a base (10) intended to come to bear on the said surface (B), an immobilising element (12) of substantially parallelepipedal shape forming the upper part of a head (13) of T-shape longitudinal section, and a hole (14) of axis (Z-Z') passing through the base (10) of the head (13), intended to receive a screw for fastening the block (1) to the wooden surface (B), it being possible to lock the block in the groove (20) of the said section (2) by rotating the block about the axis (Z-Z'), characterised in that the said axis (Z-Z') is offset with respect to the long sides of the rectangle in which the upper face (124) of the immobilising element is inscribed. <IMAGE>
