Vertical auger conveyor for free flowing material - has mechanism thrusting material towards bottom inlet

Auger for vertical conveyor has a tubular casing with an inlet near the bottom end and in which the auger rotates coaxially. Alongside the casing (1) at the bottom means are provided for thrusting the material handled towards the auger, including one or more vaned rotors. The latter can be in the form of a further auger (5, 6). There can be two feed augers of opposite pitch, the space between them being connected to the inside of the main auger casing. There can also be radial blades extending from the auger shaft.
