Bin or container loader for vehicle - has lever system with pivotal and vertically movable hook member

For loading bins and containers on a lorry there is a system of levers and a tilting, right angled member which has at its end (2) a device for hooking on to the load (4). This right angled arm is operated by a hydraulic ram (6). The load rests on a roller (8) mounted at the rear of the vehicle. There is a hawser between the roller and the ram so that the load can be hauled on. The whole apparatus is hydraulically operated and controlled and the right angled member swings through approximately 180 deg. This enables a bin on the ground to be gripped and then lifted up and on to the lorry.
