<p>The child's educational toy consists of a board (1) round which in a frame (2) at each corner of the board is a hole(s) which can be used to fasten the board to a table, or, by means of a card, to a child's cot. The frame also holds the back of the board at a distance from the table surface. At the front of the board (1) are a number of pairs of hand grips (4) of the same shape and/or colour. Each pair of grips (4) is connected by a cord (5) which passes through a pair of holes (6) in the board (1) so that most of the cord is hidden. The length of the cord allows the grips (4) to be moved, so that when one grip is pulled its mate at the other end of the cord moves with it. This teaches the small child manual dexterity and at a later stage to recognise the consequences of its own actions.</p> |
