The mat(tress) comprises a casing filled with at least >=2 dissimilar layers or plastics foam. Of 2 of these layers, at least one is thicker than the other. Also, it is more compressible. Adjacent the thinner layer ther eis an elastic mesh fabric. The latter may be on each side of the thinner layer. The mesh fabric may be of plastics. The construction of the prod. as claimed ensures good impact-damping and freedom from recoil ("bounce").
