<p>The bicycle chain guard (4) is a one piece construction to cover the top and bottom sections of chain. It is fitted around the crank and secured on the frame by tags welded to the frame. The rear of the guard has a slot (8) widening towards the rear and is clampled between two large washers (16, 17) on the rear axle spindle. The washers are shaped to grip the guard firmly, and are wide enough to cover the slot. The guard provides cover for any setting of the rear wheel w.r.t. length of chain. It has no fittings near the rear forks which could corrode, or which require careful adjustment.</p> |
