<p>A thermostatic valve with automatically adjustable desired temp. level is designed to directly replace conventional valves at the input to hot water or steam heating elements, e.g. for central heating systems. A valve cone controls the flow of water from input to output depending on its position w.r.t. the valve seat. A spring lifts the cone from the seat in opposition to the force exerted by an adjustable expansion sensor containing an expansion medium. A heating coil surrounding the expansion sensor is connected to an external electric circuit which supplies current to it controlled by a time switch. The coil current heats the expansion sensor and closes the valve, thus making possible remote automatic control of the valve.</p> |
