<p>A thermostat with a sealed housing has a heating resistance in good thermal contact with the housing. A temperature sensor is electrically connected to the heating resistance and consists of a ceramic ballast resistance. When approaching a given limiting temperature, the ballast resistance increases its resistance very quickly. The heating resistance is also a ceramic ballast resistance, and the heating resistance (1) and temperature sensor are connected in series. The temperature sensor, which consists of a ballast resistance, is influenced by the environmental temperature of the thermostat. The space between the temperature sensor and heating resistance can be changed by adjusting elements (3, 5).</p> |
