A system is used to measure the pulse ratio of a cam controlled switch as in 2026442. It is used on telephone dials and operates by switching a counter on and off using the produced pulses. The pulse sequence accuracy can be checked to allow a suitable adjustment of the cam during installation by using separate counters (Z1-Z4). During one full revolution of the elliptical cam plate (NS) the successive actuations of the pulse contacts (K1, K2) produce pulse sequences which are stored separately in the counters. The opening times (from mark 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 on the cam plate) and the closing times (from 2 to 3 and 4 to 1) are registered by storing their pulse sequences in separate counters.
