The individual springs of the set are secured in an insulator with lateral recesses for resilient clamping. The individual contact springs (64) abut by a flat side a wall (73) of the recess (62) in the insulator (61). Each contact spring has on the opposite side bent clamping elements (69) made of the spring material. The clamping elements are positively secured in open chambers (63) of the insulator in the inserting direction of the contact springs. Preferably the clamping elements are provided on a fastening sheet, formed by folding of the contact spring in the clamping region. The clamping elements may be in the form of tags, bent in opposite direction at sharp angle to the contact spring longitudinal direction.
