Flue gas ejector in chimney stack - utilises convection to draw cool air through side vents

The ejector is operated by flue gas and utilises the energy in the rising flue gases. This energy is supplied to blowers for ventilating purposes. This saves energy in blower motors and reduces blower plant requirements. At the top end of a flue gas duct there is an expanded flue gas duct with an air gap. Air is drawn in as a result of the ejector suction effect. This air movement generated is used for cooling of air coolers and it can be used for ventilating rooms or sections of plant. The ejector is fitted at the top end of the flue gas duct or chimney stacks in order to ensure that the temperature does not drop below the dew point.
