<p>1463909 Balanced flue terminals E L M LEBLANC 13 Aug 1975 [17 Jan 1975] 33732/75 Heading F4J A balanced flue terminal comprises a combustion products outlet pipe 7 supported within a duct 3 by fins 8 on an annular support 6 within duct 3, the pipe 7 projecting beyond the outer end of the duct 3, a cylindrical grille 9 attached at one end to the support 6 and closed at its other end by an obturator 10 and enclosing the projecting end of pipe 7, and a deflector 11 on pipe 7 within the grille 9 to direct combustion air into the space between pipe 7 and duct 3. A further annular deflector 12 is supported on pipe 7 by fins 15. The obturator is conical, and the pipe 7 and duct 3 are each telescopic. During assembly and mounting of the terminal, the duct 3 is first positioned in an opening 2 in a wall and sealed at 4. The remainder of the terminal is then inserted as a unit into the duct 3 from within the building until the fins 8 abut the seal 4.</p> |
