Universal fitting sliding cover for lorry - with sliding hinged side arms and with adjustable fitting to cross supports

The lorry or trailer is covered by a sliding cover in which a flexible cover is stretched over a series of cross supports which are slid along side rails on a series of crossed, hinged supports (5, 6). The cover is slid over the lorry as the hinged supports are opened out. In order to provide a universal fitting for a mass produced lorry body, the cross supports are bolted to angle plates (10) at the ends of one of the hinged supports. The cross supports are of a square cross section and fit snugly onto the angle plates. A series of holes through the plates and the cross supports provide a variable fitting.
