<p>Apparatus for heating and pumping liquids in an at least partially heated pipe system, comprises a throttle region or a non-return valve (78) upstream of the tubular heater (76). The pipe system in the region of the heater is divided into at least two branches (72, 74) at least one of which is heated. One branch may be heated and bridged by a second branch in the form of a short bypass pipe, or several branches (72, 74) of the pipe system may be of the same length and heated, with the tubular heater between every two adjacent branches of the pipe system. The front branch point (72, 73; 74, 75), as seen in the direction of flow, and/or the regions of the branches adjoining it, may be heated. The branches may lead separately to an appliance which consumes the heated liquid, e.g. ascending pipes leading to the coffee filter of an electric coffee percolator.</p> |
