Transport system for photographic material working through a controlled suction system includes stacked tubes (1, 2 and 5) each inserted in a perforated tube. The tubes (1, 2 and 5) are rotated by a drive (3) in one direction and the photographic material is held by nozzles (4). A vacuum is produced in tube (1) while transported in direction of rotation. The emulsion side of the material is not touched by the equipment. Scratches are thus avoided. The suction of the developing chemicals occurs below the level of liquid so that no oxidation arises.
