Substd. phosphoryl-thymol derivs. of formula (I) are new (where R is Na, K, 2-amino-2-methyl-propane-1,3-diol, cyclohexylamine, dicyclohexylamine, tris(hydroxymethyl)-aminoethane or ammonium). These are salts of Thymol Blue monophosphate. Used for qualitative and quantitative determn. of alkaline and acid phosphatases in fluids. e.g. for diagnosis of liver damage, hyperthyroidism, disorders of bone metabolism. A kinetic test is provided using the chromogenic substrate (I) which reacts with the enzymes to be assayed at a measurable controlled speed without interference by any other cpds. |
