<p>Folding seats (6, 8) for public halls etc. are stored inside base modules (1) arranged and fitted together to form tiers. Each module is a metal box, flat top and bottom, its height (H1) forming a convenient step. The seat (6) is attached by a hinge (7) to the top and folds outwards for use. It is protected by a hinged cover (3, 4), when inside, this being closed to provide a platform. Each seat rests on the front portion (5) of the box, the back (8) being hinged (9) to the seat and folding down for storage. When erected, the back rests on the rear part of the seat. Single or larger seats are possible, with armrests.</p> |
