Control system for transfer line with presses - has electronic inspection system for detecting defects and transferring workpieces

The control system for material and workpiece transport between machining stations is used for presses, especially for gang presses and linked machine tools. A press is switched off in case of a defect and the defect is indicated. The machine is restarted automatically after acknowledgement by the operator. The defective component runs through all further stations without switching off any stations. For each workpiece inspection station an output of an associated NOR element is coupled in parallel to inputs of input signal storage. An input of this NOR element is coupled to inverse output of cam actuated switch and other inputs are coupled to direct output of signal storage.
