1464657 Magnetic switches CONCORDIA FLUID TECHNIK GmbH 6 March 1974 [9 March 1973] 10110/74 Addition to 1397182 Heading H1N [Also in Division F2] An arrangement for detecting asynchronous movement of control parts (2, 3, Fig. 1, not shown), comprises a magnetic body 19 on each control part symmetrically arranged with respect to each other adjacent a respective free end of a magnetic rod 28 pivoted intermediate its ends about an axis 27 that is parallel to the direction of movement of the control parts, the rod being biased to a position of rest and is rotated out of the position of rest by asynchronous movement of the control parts to produce a signal indicative thereof. Rod 28 is suspended and biased by a torsion bar 15. Horseshoe magnets 33, 33 are connected by soft iron pieces 34, 34 to complete a magnetic circuit. As long as bodies 19, 19 move synchronously, the forces acting on the ends of magnetic rod 28 are equal. An asymmetrical movement causes one end of rod 28 to be attracted and to act through a push rod 20 to operate an electrical switch (21, Fig. 1, not shown). The invention is applied to monitoring a pair of fluid valves, as in the main patent 1,397,182.
|
