PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water soluble dispersion which is a dispersion for paper coating, high in Brookfield (trade mark) viscosity, low in ACAV viscosity, high in water retention value and especially suitable for dry extract amount and/or high speed coating.SOLUTION: There is provided a water-insoluble polymer consisting of an inorganic material, a binder, a water-insoluble polymer and water, the water-insoluble polymer consists of (a) at least one kind of hydroxy or methoxy polyalkylene glycol monomer, (b) a hydrophobic monomer of styrene or C1 to 4 (meth)acryl ester, (c) a (meth)acrylic acid monomer, (d) an association monomer and (e) monomer having two ethylenic unsaturated groups and weight average molar mass of 1,000,000 to 6,000,000 g/mol.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
