PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing irregularities in an image due to the wear of each surface of a fixing roller and a pressure roller, and also, preventing the occurrence of oil soil and oil stripes on a recording sheet due to the sticking of foreign matter. SOLUTION: An oil recovering blade 38 and an oil control blade 37 are installed in contact with an oil applying roller 35, and also, the oil recovering blade 38 is brought into contact with the oil applying roller 35 on the downstream side of a position where a fixing roller 31 comes into contact with the oil applying roller 35, and also on the upstream side of the oil control blade 37, and at the contact position, the surplus oil and the foreign matter are removed from the oil applying roller 35.
