<p>The fire extinguisher comprises a tank for extinguishing agent, in one end of which is inserted a fitting housing to which are attached within the tank a high-pressure bottle a gas tube for propellant gas, and an ascending pipe for extinguishing agent. On the outside the fitting housing includes an extinguishing tube, an integral handle, and a pivotable release lever with a safety catch. The lever actuates a release spindle with a valve element within the fitting housing to break the seal of the gas bottle. The fitting housing also contains a moulded plastic ring surrounding the spindle in the region of the valve element, for sealing off an outlet chamber for extinguishing agent from a gas chamber.</p> |
