The poppet valve has a valve disc whose stem extends through a bearing in a housing wall into a chamber contg. a piston-like slide. Inside the chamber a pair of double-ended radially disposed levers are connected between the slide and the stem. The slide is moved by a screw engaging a nut thread in the slide. The screw is supported for rotation only in the wall of the chamber. A bellows forms a seal between the screw and the chamber. The bellows is made of spring steel and is connected between the slide and the chamber wall.
