PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel/water-injection internal combustion engine that can precisely control a water injection quantity in a relatively simple control method and reduces the device cost of water injection quantity control operation equipment. SOLUTION: The fuel/water-injection internal combustion engine is designed to inject high-pressure fuel from a fuel injection pump and water supplied from a water supply pump into a combustion chamber from one fuel injection valve. A water injection piston device is provided to force-feed the water to the fuel injection valve by a pressure difference between the pressure in a water chamber for storing the water and the pressure in a working fluid camber separated from the water chamber by a water injection piston. A working fluid pump is provided to pressurize working fluid and feed it to the working fluid chamber of the water injection piston device.
